中文課程概述：

隨著高齡者生理機能的退化或疾病引發的吞嚥障礙，長者容易在進食過程中發生嗆咳情形，影響進食質與量減少，而導致營養不良、免疫力低下。本課程旨於透過「吞嚥復健訓練」、「營養支援」等照顧概念，引導學習者熟悉吞嚥功能評估技巧，並透過系列性吞嚥復健動作訓練，搭配特殊飲食配方的介入，使個案能夠維持安全的進食過程，並攝取足夠的營養，以維護身體基本機能所需。本課程將有助於學習者具備評估吞嚥功能及進行吞嚥多元方案照顧的能力。教學方法包括講述法、影片、討論與活動演練等方式進行。

英文課程概述：

Elderly chronic diseases and physiological degeneration would lead to feeding problems. Preventing choking while feeding and keeping a healthy diet and balanced nutrition schedule is therefore very important. Topics include swallowing recovery training and nutrition assistance for patients to have safe food intake and sufficient nutrition for good body functioning. This course aims to help learners acquire elderly chewing and swallowing evaluation ability, and give proper personalized assistance when necessary. Lectures, video aid, discussion and practice will be utilized in this course.
